Meet The Team
Hi, I'm Kelsey McDonald
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA #10010824). I hold a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology, and for more than 20 years, have worked in roles where I support individuals with their mental health.
I believe that people come to therapy when they are ready for life to feel different, and I am committed to working collaboratively with my clients as they explore pathways toward change.
I am passionate about building relationships that provide a secure-base to do this important work; where you feel seen and understood. I value the knowledge and experiences you bring to our sessions; you are the expert on you, and you decide if anything in the process feels too fast, too soon, or too much.
My approach to counselling is integrated, which means I draw from a variety of theoretical backgrounds so that your sessions are tailor-made for your unique needs. I welcome feedback from clients about their experiences during counselling, and you can count on me to be candid during our work together.
Outside of my time with clients you can find me walking my dogs, curled up with a good book, or experimenting in the kitchen.
If you would like to learn more about what it might be like to work together, I invite you to connect with me!

Kelsey works with individuals ages 18+ and specializes in anxiety, burnout recovery, navigating parenthood and trauma.
I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the CCPA (license number 11241928). I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Bachelor's Degree in the Social Sciences.
In therapy, I use a combination of my education, counselling theories and years of working with people to provide quality care.

I am passionate about providing a therapeutic environment that is warm, accepting and safe.
I work from a Person Centered Approach and implement aspects of other theories such as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Narrative Therapy to create a custom treatment for you.

I also am a firm believer that you are the expert on yourself, and that it is my job to walk along side you on your healing journey and provide suggestions and support rather than act strictly as an expert.

When I am not with therapy clients, I enjoy spending my time listening to music or audiobooks, walking my dog, baking and trying out local cafes.
